Access Bank Cameroon organise la première édition

Cameroon, September 24, 2026 – Access Bank Cameroon brought together more than 100 players from across Cameroon’s distribution ecosystem for the inaugural National Distributors Forum, held under the theme “Building an Intersectoral Distributor Ecosystem in Cameroon.”
Held at Krystal Palace, Douala, the Forum brought together anchor companies, distributors, sub-distributors, suppliers, technology partners and institutional stakeholders from sectors including cement, telecommunications, brewing, gas and energy, and healthcare. The event provided a platform to discuss common business challenges, strengthen collaboration across value chains and identify opportunities for sustainable growth. “We wanted to create a platform for dialogue among the different players who contribute to the strength of our economic ecosystem, with the objective of developing practical solutions that support inclusive growth,” said Ugochukwu Irechukwu, Deputy Managing Director of Access Bank Cameroon.
Building a More Connected Distribution Ecosystem
Distribution companies play a vital role in Cameroon’s economy, connecting producers and suppliers to consumers across the country. However, their growth continues to be affected by challenges including access to finance, working capital needs, cash flow and risk management, efficient payments and collections, access to markets and the digitalisation of operations.
The Forum therefore focused on how stronger collaboration between businesses, financial institutions and other ecosystem partners can help address these challenges and create more resilient value chains. Following the discussions, several key recommendations emerged. Anchor companies were encouraged to strengthen support for their value chains, while distributors were encouraged to accelerate the digitalisation of their operations and take steps towards becoming more bankable businesses.
Access Bank Cameroon reaffirmed its commitment to supporting businesses and entrepreneurs with financial solutions and partnerships that enable their growth and transformation.
Recognising Excellence Across the Ecosystem
The Forum concluded with recognitions celebrating businesses within the distribution ecosystem. Société des ETP Sarl was recognised as the Bank’s First Distributor Client; Domi Sarl as Best Brewery Distributor; Elite Pharma as Best Pharmaceutical Distributor; Ets Shalom as Best Telco Distributor; ANSA’R Sarl as Best Cement Distributor; and Inter Distribution as Ecosystem Champion.
Through the National Distributors Forum, Access Bank Cameroon is reinforcing its ambition to go beyond traditional banking relationships by connecting businesses, strengthening value chains and contributing to the development of a more collaborative and resilient business ecosystem in Cameroon.
