W Pitch-a-Ton

The W Pitch-a-Ton Program is Access Bank’s flagship women entrepreneurship initiative and a bold reflection of our commitment to being the bank of choice for women in Africa.


Launched in 2019 by the W Initiative through the W Academy, this transformative program goes beyond financial products to deliver education, mentorship, visibility, and business growth opportunities to women entrepreneurs.


Since its inception, the W Pitch-a-Ton has empowered more than 878 women across Africa, equipping them with a world-class Mini-MBA from IFC, intensive capacity-building workshops, and access to seed funding competitions that help them start, grow, and scale their businesses.


These remarkable achievements reinforce Access Bank’s dedication to closing the gender gap in entrepreneurship, promoting women’s economic empowerment, and driving inclusive growth across Africa.


Now in its 7th edition across the Access Bank Group, Access Bank Cameroon is proud to announce its inaugural W Pitch-a-Ton program, a strategic platform designed to launch our gender banking program and empower Cameroonian women to build sustainable businesses and thrive in today’s competitive market.


Selection Criteria for W Pitch-a-Ton Cameroon

Are you ready to take your business idea to the next level?
To qualify for the W Pitch-a-Ton Cameroon, applicants must meet the following criteria:


  • Passion for Growth:
     You are a driven and passionate woman entrepreneur eager to grow, scale, or expand your business idea.
  • Business Ownership:
     You either own a legally registered business or have a solid business project idea ready to be developed.
  • Age Requirement:
     You are between 21 and 45 years old.
  • Access Bank Account:
     You hold an active account with Access Bank Cameroon.
  • Sector Focus:
    Your business operates in a high-impact sector, such as: 
    1.  Technology
    2.  Green or sustainable initiatives
    3.  Beauty and fashion
    4.  Agriculture and its value chain
  • Financial Threshold:
     Your business has a minimum annual turnover or startup capital of at least 3 million FCFA.
  • Funding Need:
     You require seed funding to start, scale, or expand your business operations.

Eligibility Criteria for W Pitch-a-Ton Cameroon

To participate in the W Pitch-a-Ton Cameroon, applicants must meet the following requirements:


  • Female Entrepreneur:
     Must be a woman entrepreneur with either:
    1.  An existing legally registered business, or
    2.  A solid business project idea ready for development.
  • Age Requirement:
     Applicants must be between 21 and 45 years old.
  • Access Bank Account:
    Must hold an active Access Bank Business Account.
  • Business Sector:
    Your business must operate in a high-impact sector, contributing to social or economic growth, such as:
    1.  Technology
    2.  Green and sustainable initiatives
    3.  Beauty and fashion
    4.  Agriculture and its value chain
  • Financial Threshold:
    Your business must have a minimum annual turnover or capital of 3 million FCFA.

W Pitch-a-Ton Cameroon Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Applications open on 13 October 2025 and close on 3 November 2025.

To apply, you must be:

  • A woman aged 21–45 years
  • An Access Bank account holder
  • Operating a business in high-impact social sectors, including:
    1.  Technology
    2.  Green and sustainable initiatives
    3.  Beauty & fashion
    4.  Agriculture and its derivatives
  • Your business must have a minimum annual turnover or capital of 3 million FCFA.

Yes, joint businesses are eligible if:

  • A woman owns at least 50% of the business
  • She actively manages the business
  • If selected, she will attend the Mini-MBA program
  • If jointly owned by women, one of the women will attend the Mini-MBA.

  • Major sponsors of the program or their advertising agencies.
  • Suppliers of services or prizes for the program.
  • Holders of public office.
